The following programs and organizations are associated with the National Parks Institute.
Sierra Nevada Research Institute
The host for the National Parks Institute. SNRI faculty do basic and applied research to sustain natural resources and promote social well being in the Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin Valley.
Yosemite Leadership Program
A student environmental leadership program that brings UC Merced undergraduates into the park for research, internships, volunteering and employment.
Wilderness Education Center
A hub for connecting UC Merced students and the surrounding communities to Yosemite.
Adventure Risk Challenge
A UC Merced and UC Berkeley initiative for high school youth, linking wilderness to academics at the Yosemite Field Station of the Sierra Nevada Research Institute.
